It has been well-documented that in the church today there is a biblical literacy problem. If we are to follow the lead of our commanding officer, if we are to be good soldiers of Christ’s kingdom, then we must know the field manual, and how to correctly use the weapons he has given us in the cosmic battle for the hearts and souls of mankind. In this series, we return back to the basics, to boot camp, to discover important disciplines we must be practicing. In order to be able to rightly handle the Word of God, we must effectively learn, know, and use the Bible in our daily lives. The goal is not just to read and memorize the Bible for memorization sake, but to live a fulfilling life as we pattern our lives according to the principles we find in God’s Word.
