Our local mission partners provide us with unique opportunities to serve our community and region. By engaging in local missions, you not only impact the lives of the people you serve, but you find yourself being impacted in ways you didn’t think were possible.
Whether it’s Build the Walls, Operation Christmas Child or Little Angels, we have multiple chances for our church get involved in local missions throughout the year.
We hope that you will pray with us for our mission partners and pray about how you can get engaged in missions and help us carry out the redemptive work Jesus has commanded us to do.
Each quarter, a team of 8-10 people serves at the Ronald McDonald House near Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati. This is a wonderful way to help families who have long-term stays at Children’s Hospital. Many are far from home. Come to serve and YOU will be blessed! This group is open to all adult groups and individuals.
Time of Departure: 3:30 pm
Expected Time of Return: Approx. 8:00 pm
On the first Thursday of each month, a group heads out to Matthew 25 Ministries. They take care of packaging much-needed items like clothing and medical supplies at the Matthew 25 facility. These packaged items are then shipped to thousands around the world! You can join this group at any time. No experience necessary!
The group meets at Matthew 25 Ministries, located at:
11060 Kenwood Rd.
Blue Ash, OH 45242
They begin serving at 9:00 am.
On the second Friday of each month, we visit Over the Rhine (OTR) and serve food to people in need at the Our Daily Bread location, across from Findlay Market. Over 150 meals are usually served each time we go! We clear tables, wrap silverware, work on the serving line, and assist with some food prep.
We meet at the church to travel together at 8:30 am and leave OTR at approximately 12:00 noon.
On the second Thursday of each month, the Crafters for Christ tribe meets at 9:30 am in the Parlor. They knit and crochet blankets, prayer shawls, baby hats, and more. They make these items for Bethesda North Hospital, the Pregnancy Care Center, Christmas boxes, and VFW.
ANY age is welcome! The more, the merrier! If you are interested in joining CFC, contact Clara Sevier at 513-315-4684.
