Help answer questions
Would you like to serve at Starting Point? Help answer questions like:
Where is the Prayer Room?
How do we sign up for an event?
How can I get involved in a ministry?
If you would like to assist people and help them find the answers they are looking for, sign up to be a Starting Point volunteer! Email Adam Brucker for more information.
Want to get in on the action?
Lights, Camera, Action! The church has a true need to enlarge its Production Team. Would you be interested in serving in this way?
The Production Team is key to creating a coherent, smooth worship experience every Sunday. As you serve, you will be allowing the congregation to experience God in a seamless way as they sing, listen, pray, and learn!
Most of these positions simply require a keen eye and ear while watching for cues. Most tech, such as lighting, is pre-programmed and easy for anyone to execute. However, if you have experience in any of these areas, that is a plus! We will put you in a rotation that suits your experience, desires, and schedule. Don't hesitate to call or email Nathan Siegele today!
Communion and Offering
Would you like to serve communion or pass the offering plates? This is an important part of every single worship experience. If you are interested in serving in this way, contact Brad Wilson.
Are you a baby whisperer? Do you love to rock and cuddle the littlest ones? Do you like to hold little hands and sing preschool songs with three-year olds?
Then Early Childhood is the place for you! Wendy Nijakowski will help you find the right place and time to serve.
Can you be a friend to a fourth grader? Can you listen while a first grader tells you about her week? Can you welcome a third grader with open arms that he may not find anywhere else? Can you check in kiddos or help lead worship with this energetic, fun age group?
If the answer is yes to any of these, then Elementary is your place! Shawn Lewis will help you find the perfect spot to serve.
Do you remember middle school? Do you wish you had an adult (other than your parents and school teachers) who was there just to listen, smile, hug, or offer Christian advice from time to time? Can you help a middle school student feel like she/he is welcome and part of the group?
Middle School is the place for you! Jake Niven will be thrilled to get you plugged in here as you invest in this awesome age group.
Can you high-five 9th graders as they walk in the door? Can you smile at a 10th grade girl who really needed one that morning? Can you help a senior know that they matter to God? Do you want to see a high schooler “get it” for the first time as their relationship with God becomes their own? Can you chaperone a special event or work next to them at a service event?
Then High School is your place.
Contact the High School Ministry Office for more details!
Can you be a “buddy” to an individual with special needs, helping him or her fit into a classroom on Sunday mornings? Can you help him or her know that he or she is welcome here? Would you like to teach creative Bible lessons to kids with special needs? Can you reassure the parent of a special needs child, “Don’t worry, we are going to have fun! Go, relax!”
If so, Access Ministry is the place for you. Whether it is on Sunday mornings, a Respite night, or at the “Night to Shine” prom, Amy Hughes will find the perfect place for you to serve. If you decide to be a buddy, she’ll match you up according to your experience level and the needs of the individual.
Weekend service music and vocals
Do you love music? Do you have a passion to worship? Can you play an instrument? Do you have a creative idea that will add to the worship experience? Do you sing?
If so, contact Joey Santos for more information!
First Impressions Team
Maybe you really don’t know where to start serving, but love making people feel welcome. Being a part of the First Impressions Team is the place for you!
There are so many different ways to join this team, from greeting people in the parking lot to being a Door Host (and so much more)! These are important ways for you to serve, and previous experience is not required.
